The Denia Castle was built during the Islamic times of Denia between the 11th and 12th centuries, on the Roman castle remains, and with later remodelling: some of its towers were built in the 15th century, the Governor’s Palace was rebuilt between the 16th and the 17th centuries… The Denia Castle is a national monument of interest for the tourism in Denia.

What other museums to see in Denia? Back to your childhood in the Museo del Juguete (Denia Toy Museum)

The Museo del Juguete (Toy Museum) in Denia is a tourist point not to be missed by those who travel with children: it exhibits the local toy production from 1904 to 1960, when there were more than 40 toy factories in Denia.

The museum includes tin-plate toys, imported toys and wooden toys. Amongst trucks, wooden toy kitchens and ring toss sets, you will definitely travel back to your childhood.

The Torre del Gerro is a Renaissance tower (16th century), very singular for its round shape and because the Torre del Gerro was part of the surveillance system on the coasts, created on the 16th and 17th centuries to defend the coast from pirates.
